Community Events
Volunteering is at the core of what we do.
EYGC has tended the gardens at the Rockery, the Walter Stewart Library and, most recently, at the Legion on Pape. EYGC also always participates in the East York Canada Day Parade with members joining the celebration
Flower Shows
Open to All Members, novice and experienced, with categories for children and youth
Four times a year, members enter what they have grown into more than multiple sections, including Cut Speciments, House Plants, Fruits & Vegetables, and Design. Native species are also recognised. Each August, EYGC hosts a Public Show and Tea open to all members to enjoy
Seasonal Plant Sales
An event that fosters community spirit and promotes local gardening talents.
Spring and fall, gardeners are dividing plants, sharing seeds, and swapping. Those donated to EYGC generate hundreds of dollars to fund Club activities.
Members have early entry to the public sales.
